Ummer Daraz appointed Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor

October 6, 2026

Our Managing Director, Ummer Daraz, has been appointed a Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor at the University of Bradford for 2026 to 2027, as Visiting Professor in Regenerative and Retrofitting Design in Practice.

The Royal Academy of Engineering’s Visiting Professors scheme brings experienced engineers from industry into universities to help shape teaching and to share the realities of practice with students.

For Ummer, it is a real milestone. It was at the University of Bradford that he began his engineering journey in 2008, and he now returns to share his experience of working in the industry and to help students see the path from their studies into a career in engineering.
